Topped Off is the first part of the 22nd episode of the second season of Dexter's Laboratory. It originally aired January 14, 1998. In this episode, Dexter and Dee Dee witness how coffee energizes Mom and Dad in the morning. However, they consume too much coffee and eventually run out of it.
Dad and Mom enter the kitchen while Dexter and Dee Dee are ready for their breakfast. The children say hello to their parents, and Mom and Dad respond by giving their kids ugly-looking faces. Mom and Dad brew coffee, and are perked for the day. After the parents leave the kitchen, Dexter and Dee Dee stare at the cup of coffee sitting on the counter all day. At night, they drink the coffee and experience hyperactivity.
After the coffee is all gone, Dad and Mom are devastated that their children drank all the coffee. However, a man named Juan covers the parents in their coffee withdrawal, and the parents enjoy their cups of joe.
