The Powerpuff Girls are a trio of young superheroines created by Professor Utonium while he was using the ingredients to create the perfect little girl (consisting of sugar, spice, and everything nice). While mixing, the handle on the ladle accidentally cracks open a flask containing Chemical X, resulting in Blossom, Bubbles, and Buttercup being born.

- In the episode "Aye Aye Eyes", Dexter, Dee Dee and the Big-Eyed Girl are featured in front of a "red hearts" background during the Aye Aye Eye music sequence that is very similar to the background the Powerpuff Girls appear in at the end of every episode of their series.
