The Grand-Daddy of All Inventions is the third segment of the fourth episode in season 3 of Dexter's Laboratory. It first aired on November 30, 2001 as part of Cartoon Network's weekly programming block "Cartoon Cartoon Fridays".
In this episode, Dexter goes to visit his grandfather and isn't appealed by his outwardly boring appearance, but his interest in him piques when he learns that Grandpa has his own laboratory.
Grandpa's house has the exact same design as the Dexter Family house, albeit with a different interior.
This segment was part of the final episode to have Christine Cavanaugh as the voice of Dexter before her retirement from voice acting (though her very last performance as Dexter would be in "Tele-Trauma").
During the Dexter's Laboratory Top 10 event that aired during Cartoon Network's weekly block Cartoon Cartoon Fridays on August 16, 2002, this episode was number 6.
