The Blonde Leading the Blonde is the second part of the 10th aired and 9th produced episode in season 4 of Dexter's Laboratory, which first aired on September 19, 2003. In this episode, Dexter refuses to admit that blondes have more fun, so Dee Dee secretly dyes his hair blond to prove it to him.
The episode title is a reference to the phrase, "The Blind Leading the Blind".
At the beginning of the episode Dexter is reading a book titled "I Know Why The Negative Isotope Sings" it was later changed in mid-episode to "I Know Why The Caged Isotope Sings" after Dee Dee bleaches Dexter's hair. This could be a last minute title adjustment.
As Dexter and Dee Dee are dancing, an action figure of Samurai Jack can be seen on his bookshelf.
