Quackor the Fowl is the second part of episode 1 in season 2 of Dexter's Laboratory. It aired on July 16, 1997. In this episode, Mandark and Dexter take their lab animals to show and tell, only for Monkey and Quackor to get involved in a brawl beforehand.
Plot[]
At Huber Elementary one morning, Mr. Luzinsky announces to the class that they're having show-and-tell the next day. Dexter and Mandark plan on bringing their laboratory pets to class just to show each other up. In Dexter's laboratory, he runs several tests on Monkey to see if he has any superpowers, but regardless of the outcome, he always gets negative results. He settles for Monkey doing a simple backflip and leaves, only for Monkey to activate his superpowers just as Dexter steps out.
Meanwhile, Mandark is in his laboratory running tests on his pet Ducky to see if she has any superpowers, only for his tests to come back negative. Mandark then settles for Ducky doing a backflip and leaves. As Ducky sat near a window, she became bathed in moonlight and transformed into Quackor the Fowl. She goes into Mandark's room and hears him sleep-talking about wanting to destroy Dexter's laboratory. As Mandark's voice runs rampant in Quackor's mind, she heads to Dexter's house and into Dexter's room where he mistakes Quackor for Dee Dee and reveals his way into the laboratory via sleep-talking. Quackor uses her power to move the bookshelf and enter Dexter's laboratory where she quickly makes a mess of things.
Monkey, who was in the lab sleeping, wakes up and goes to confront Quackor. A battle between them ensues that continued well into the morning. Quackor is hit with a ray of sunlight, to which she turns back into Ducky and leaves the laboratory. Monkey transforms back to normal just as Dexter comes to take him to school. At Huber Elementary, Dexter and Mandark race each other to the front of the class to show Monkey and Ducky, both of whom are exhausted from their fight the night before. Mandark and Dexter both get into an argument over whose fault it was that Monkey and Ducky are exhausted.
Frustrated with their argument, Mr. Luzinsky orders Dexter and Mandark to keep quiet for the rest of class and snaps his fingers, to which Dexter and Mandark both do flips and sit in place.

Trivia[]
Notes[]
- First appearance of Quackor.
- This episode is often mistaken for a Dial M for Monkey episode because the title card had its music playing during it and the episode revolved around Monkey, but it was confirmed that this is really a Dexter's Laboratory episode.
- During the episode clips from the original opening for Dial M for Monkey is used.
Episode Connections[]
- The events of this episode are referenced to and continue in the episode "A Quackor Cartoon".
- When Quackor changed back into her normal form and flew away, Monkey looked at her with a shocked look. This may have been foreshadowing him falling in love with her in the episode A Quackor Cartoon.
- When the narrator was talking about who Monkey was, there was a montage of small clips from previous Dial M for Monkey episodes such as Magmanamus, Rasslor, and Simion.
- At the beginning of Quackor's transformation the narrator refers to Quackor as a 'him', it is unknown if this was on purpose or done accidentally.
Production Notes[]
- The first time Monkey appeared in the Dexter's Lab segment of the show rather than his own.
- The music that played on the title card is the same music that plays in the title card of every Dial M for Monkey episode.
