In this episode, Mandark, after having his lab destroyed by Dexter and Dee Dee, turns to magic to help him win the science fair.
Plot[]
Mandark is having a nightmare where Dexter orders Dee Dee to destroy his laboratory as Dexter sits by laughing. Mandark wakes up at 4:30 AM crying and plots to get his revenge on Dexter. At Huber Elementary later that same morning, Mr. Luzinsky to his class that a science fair is coming up and asks everyone to get to work on their projects. He then lets Dexter have the floor and announces that winning the science fair isn't an easy task and wants to break new ground in science.
As everyone cheers for Dexter, Mandark objects to his statements and brings up how Dexter used Dee Dee to destroy his laboratory, then challenges him to a "duel of the minds", which Dexter dismisses. In Dexter's laboratory, he is laying on a flatbed under a tanning light. Dee Dee enters, aware that Mandark has challenged him to the science fair. Dexter isn't concerned, as he plans on using some of his old throwaway inventions for the competition. He then asks Dee Dee to leave him alone so he can look his best for the fair.
Meanwhile, Mandark is rummaging through several books in what's left os his laboratory. He finds a book titled The Magic of Science written by him and Jojo. On the day of the science fair, Dexter presents his old invention: A robotic arm that cracks open an egg and throws the eggshells in the trash. As Dexter was about to receive the 1st prize medal, he is interrupted as Mandark makes his appearance by blowing an air horn. He presents his creation Jojo, a giant green gelatinous four-eyed monster, to the audience. Jojo roars at the crowd, then grabs Dee Dee and tries to eat her. Dexter and Mandark agree to team up and save Dee Dee.
Dexter uses the robotic arm to catch Dee Dee's foot while Mandark uses magic to make Jojo disappear. The arm then lowers Dee Dee and she gives Dexter a kiss, and she moves away from Mandark as she tries to kiss her. The judge presents the 1st place ribbon to both Mandark and Dexter, and they tug over who should get the ribbon.

Trivia[]
- Dexter is seen tanning under a lamp in his lab in this episode. In "Repairanoid", he is seen tanning under 7 lights while working. This could indicate Dexter does this occasionally, maybe to add shade to his complexion. Further evidence is seen in that episode when Dexter pops up from a toaster.
- One of the elderly judges about to present Dexter with a ribbon is shown wearing a monocle and same exact shoes similar to The Mayor of Townsville from The Powerpuff Girls, both of whom are voiced by Tom Kenny.
- One of the letters on Mandark's portal box is the Russian letter Pe (П).
- In the PlayStation 2 version of the 2006 video game Cartoon Network Racing, players can watch this episode after winning a tournament as a Dexter's Laboratory representative in the Super tournament. This episode was not included in the Nintendo DS version due to system limitations.
Episode Connections[]
- This episode continues the events of the episode "Dexter's Rival".
