Inflata Dee Dee is the first segment of the thirteenth episode in season one of Dexter's Laboratory. It first aired on January 1, 1997.

In this episode, Dee Dee plays with Dexter's Hydroplasmatic Inflation Suit and she flies around Dexter's laboratory, causing a great distraction. Dexter then tries to bring her back down.

Plot

Dee Dee in shown doing a series of dances in her room until her clock beeps. She looks at it and sees that it is time to play with Dexter. She walks outside her room to Dexter's and grabs a book off his bookcase. The computer than asks her for voice recognition. She clears her throat and does an impression of him allowing the computer to teleport her in the lab.

Inside Dexter is working on something in lab, until he is startled by his sister who screams in his ear startling. He asks her to leave only to start messing with him by copying his words. Finally Dexter had enough and asks her leave. Unfortunately instead of leaving she puts on one of his inventions and asks how brother how it works. Dexter tries to lie to his sister that his suit doesn't and tries to persuade her to take it off. Unfortunately this causes her express her disappointment at how her brother makes a lot of lame inventions. Dexter rebuffs the statement telling her that all Dee Dee has to do to activate the suit is by turning the dial. Dee Dee expresses her excitement as she turns on the suit despite her brothers objections. This causes her suit to inflate and float above him. Dexter tries to get his sister down only to give up in the end.

As he tries to go back to work Dee Dee continues to float pass him continuing to play with the suit. Dexter tries his best to ignore his big sister until she starts to annoying him by messing up his hair and blowing a blast of air at him from the suit. Finally having enough he vows to bring his sister down. Dexter tries various methods such as trying to catch her with a rocket, using a propeller hat, a robot suit only to get stuck, and fall to the floor.

Finally he resorts to his final method. He tries to catch his sister in his bird. This allows him to finally catch his big sister, only accidentally destroy the suit causing her to fall to towards the ground below. Dexter quickly saves Dee Dee in time, but they both end of crashing down to ground. Dexter sees the remains of his suit in pieces and he and Dee Dee become sadden by it. Luckily comes up with a way to make everything better. She puts the suit back together while tying a series of balloons around it making it float again with an unhappy Dexter as the pilot as the episode ends.

• It is shown that Dee Dee can imitate Dexter's voice.

Cultural References

• When Dexter tries to bring Dee Dee down, he falls into the ground below with a puff of smoke, referencing Wile E. Coyote's falls in Looney Tunes.
• While Dee Dee dances in her room, a sample from Rob Base & DJ E-Z Rock's song "It Takes Two" is heard.
• The bird suit that Dexter wears in his attempt to catch his sister is similar to one of the outfits from the 1986 show G-Force: Guardians of Space animated series.
• In the end of the episode Dee Dee ties numerous balloons to Dexter's suit making fly above, which is similar to Larry Walter's famous balloon chair flight.

Goofs/Errors

• Dexter uses his Bird Suit, but he's flying without his glasses.
