Gooey Aliens That Control Your Mind is the second segment of the thirty-fourth episode in season 2 of Dexter's Laboratory. It first aired on April 8, 1998.
In this episode, Dexter makes a wish to learn about alien life forms, and his wish is granted when a small meteorite containing green goo lands in front of him. When Dexter takes it to his laboratory to examine it further, the green goo escapes and turns Dexter's parents and Dee Dee into minions, forcing Dexter to rescue his family before becoming one of them.
Plot[]
As Dexter is stargazing one night, he makes a wish to the cosmos for an alien lifeform. A small green meteorite lands in front of him, with green goo sticking out the top of it. Surprised by this, Dexter takes the green goo back to his laboratory to run some tests on it. As Dexter leaves, the green goo suddenly comes to life and tries to bust out of its containment.
While Dexter prepares to run a DNA scan, Computer tells him that there were no lifeforms to scan, to which Dexter sees that the gooey alien has escaped. Upon finding it trying to squirm away, Dexter chases after it and manages to grab the gooey alien, but it splits into three and slips out of his fingers, then the aliens jump into a sink and go down the drain. As Dexter worked to get the gooey aliens out of the pipes, the aliens in question went after the rest of the family.
In the kitchen, as Mom was washing the dishes, she remarks about the George Washington plate she had in her hands. Suddenly, the gooey aliens jump out of the faucet and fly towards Mom, causing her to drop the plate. Mom, who is now under the aliens' control, slithers over to the kitchen table and uses a spoon to carve a blueprint. Outside, as Dad is washing the family car, the hose pipe stops spraying water and the gooey aliens come out of the nozzle. They then leap toward Dad, causing him to drop the nozzle.
In the kitchen, Dee Dee enters to look at the blueprint, and Mom orders her to go brush her teeth, to which she does so. In the bathroom, as Dee Dee brushed her teeth, the sink's faucet stopped running water and the gooey aliens leapt at her, making Dee Dee drop her toothbrush. Back in Dexter's laboratory, he was reaching inside the pipe for the gooey aliens, but suddenly he heard the lab door open, showing Mom, Dad, and Dee Dee, who were brainwashed by the gooey aliens, entering to build an alien transceiver.
Dee Dee takes Dexter and throws him into the shower where he comes face-to-face with the gooey aliens as it slowly moves out of the shower head. After fighting with it, Dexter stomps on the gooey aliens and comes up with a plan to get rid of the aliens. He returns to his lab and pretends to be an alien looking for bipolar connectors on the transceiver, then runs into the "Robots" compartment to find the Dexo-Transformer. He returns to battle the gooey aliens, who stack on top of each other and attack Dexter. However, he fights back and manages to knock the gooey aliens out of their hosts by punching and firing energy beams from the Dexo-Transformer's hands. The gooey aliens escape from their hosts, but get flattened as Dexter squishes all three of them with the Dexo-Transformer's foot.
The next day, Dad, Mom, and Dee Dee are in bed with the flu and injuries.
