Title screen

Clone-a Doodle Doo is a Dexter's Laboratory flash game that was formerly available the Cartoon Network website. The name is a portmanteau of the phrase "Cock-a-doodle-doo", commonly associated with roosters, and the word "clone".

“Ol' McDexter had a farm, Ee-i-ee-i-oh!
He cloned some chickens and away they go, Ee-i-ee-i-oh!
With a fencepost here, and a fencepost there,
He's gotta catch those chickens
with time to spare!”
Opening lyrics for Clone-a-Doddle Doo

The game is played similarly to line-drawing games such as Qix.

Using Dexter's invention, the FenceBlaster, the player must round up a required number of chickens, with the requirement going up each round to a maximum of 5.

If a player zaps a chicken or rooster, they lose 500 points. If the number of chickens falls below the limit, time runs out, or there are no chickens left, the game is over and the player must restart from the first level.

  • If the player manages to beat every level in Clone-a-Doodle Doo, they'll get a "Game Over" screen, but with a sunny background.
  • The instructions for the game are sung to the tune of the classic children's song "Old MacDonald Had a Farm."
