A Mom Cartoon is the second segment of the third episode in season 3 of Dexter's Laboratory. It first aired on January 18, 2002 and again on September 20, 2002 where it aired as the second segment of the twelfth episode.
In this episode, Mom is doing Christmas shopping at Newman's. When the intercom announces a sale on latex gloves, Mom finds herself in a heated competition with an unnamed woman who also wants them.
Plot[]
Mom is at Newman's doing some holiday shopping. As she walks own an aisle, the intercom comes on announcing a red-light sale on latex gloves. Mom eyes a woman at the end of the aisle and they both race to aisle 8 to find a box of latex gloves sitting on the kiosk.
Mom makes the first move by thrusting her shopping cart toward the woman, who jumps over them. She teaches for the latex gloves, but the woman grabs her wrist and kicks her head. Mom, after seeing that her lips are bleeding, proceeds to deliver a series of punches and kicks to the woman. In return, the woman uses her shopping cart and sends Mom flying to the side of a shelf.
To escape the woman, Mom wall jumps up the shelves, then jumps off the top of them and onto the kiosk to get the gloves. The woman then drop kicks Mom, causing her to lose her grip on the latex gloves. She then prepares another attack on Mom, only for her to use her ankles and throw her to the other side. After another beatdown, Mom takes the latex gloves and continues shopping.
When the intercom comes on to announce another sale, Mom prepares with a determined smirk on her face.

- This is the second episode of the series to be Christmas-themed, with the first being Dexter vs. Santa's Claws.
- This the third episode where the song "Jingle Bells" was heard. It was first heard in the episode "Dexter vs. Santa's Claws", where it played while Dexter was intercepting Santa Claus. The second instance was in the episode "Trapped with a Vengeance", where at the end, Dexter whistled the song as he walked home.
